Things like this always make me happy to see that our medical knowledge is advancing so much that we can give people a little of their lives back after such a tragedy.
This is not the first but the seventh double arm transplant.  This man lost all his limbs in the Iraq war and now has the chance to drive, play sports, and maybe even will be able to walk one day with prosthetic legs.  Please share this information and get the word out,  people helping people is a good thing and positive news is always helps us to remember that.

Obama's views on gun control on Dutch news

Monday, January 21, 2013

So let's see what Obama has to say about gun control... well I find the background checks problematic at best because if you are a criminal or crazy it will only show up if you where in one of those institutions.  Yes in all rights to hunt and protect yourself you don't need SAW (but big guns are fun to collect. and I agree with a magazine limit if you didn't hit the deer or the burglar with 10 shots then you just suck.  Why not a universal training class like driver's ed?  Everyone is aloud to drive and you have to prove so.  Why not incorporate such a class in with universal background check, all while we're on it why not a standard permit for every state?

Rare footage of counterfeit coin making (I guess they don't shoe it often cause they don't want us to get any ideas)  http://nos.nl/video/463842-italiaanse-valsemunters-opgepakt.html

Finally a Close look inside Saudi Arabia

Saturday, January 19, 2013

"Inside the Saudi Kingdom," is a one hour documentary about one Saudi Prince and how he is dealing with change in his country brought on by the modern and western worlds.  This rare view into the private life of the Prince show things like how he can like both falconry and ping pong or everyday before he leaves the house he does a traditional perfuming ritual but later in the evening he is on a four wheeler. It shows the culture and customs of the land and the never ending political meetings where the people can all raise their concerns to the Prince. Has a small amount of information on the women's plight but not much.  Over all it is a nice insight into the political and cultural systems of Saudi Arabia.
